There are so many actors in health. Health organizations can be divided into four groups: governmental organizations, international organizations and agencies, non-governmental organizations and the private sector.

Governmental organizations can be the Ministry of Health and other related institutions. United Nations (UN) agencies are the most known international actors in health. The World Health Organization is the premier health organization, and agencies such as UNICEF, UNHCR, UNDP, UNAIDS and UNFPA are health-related UN agencies. Nongovernmental organizations can be international, national or local. Some of the most known international NGOs working in health are The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Doctors Without Borders, and CARE International among many others.
